ASPETE School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (GR)
The Institution
ASPETE provides concurrent technological and pedagogical education and training at tertiary level. Its mission includes the promotion of applied research in educational technology and pedagogy, as well as the provision of training, further training or specialization for in-service or prospective secondary teachers.
Nurtured with great expectations in relation to the teaching profession, ASPETE aims at ensuring and promoting excellence in all of the programmes offered by its academic departments. These include undergraduate study-programmes in five major disciplines, joint postgraduate programmes (MA) in cooperation with Higher Education Institutions in Greece or abroad, and programmes of pedagogical training, further training or specialization. To this end, ASPETE is committed to policies and standards that define best practices and encourage transnational cooperation.
ASPETE is situated in Athens in a campus of 232 acres, but it also operates Branches in a number of cities across the country (Thessaloniki, Patras, Ioannina, Volos, Heraklion Crete, Sapes).
Working Group
The Department of Education provides school-relevant training sequences for pre-service teachers engineering educators. In addition. Furthermore, the Department provides PGCE cources for future teachers in order to be qualified from the pedagogical issues as future teachers. ASPETE is unique in GREECE with 8 brances throught Greece.
Involvement in PATHWAY
ASPETE participates in the PATHWAY project in various WP’s. ASPETE has been involved in T1.1, T2.3, T2.4, T2.5, T3.1, T3.4, T4.2, T5.2, T5.3, T5.4, T5.5, T5.6, T6.1, T6.3, T6.4, T6.8, T7.3
Currently, in WP5 ASPETE has organized teachers training seminars to in-service teachers and school advisors in different places in Greece fort he teaching and dissemination of the best practices developed by ASPETE as they are also presented here.

Member of the steering Committee of the Department of Education and responsible alongside with Sarantos Psycharis fort he organization of training seminars(WP5), WP7 and WP2,WP3,WP4,WP6.Professor Botsari is sub scientific responsible on behalf of ASPETE. - Popota Fotini
(Phd in BioMedicine, BEng (HONS) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. MSc Degree from University of Surrey, Guildford, UK in Medical Physics and an MSc Degree in Biomedical Engineerin) She is working in all WP’s mainly in the developemnt of the best practices alongside with Professor Psycharis. - Papageorgiou Theodora
