The Institution
Casa Corpului Didactic Cluj, Romania (CCDC) is a Romanian teacher’s training center, as well as an educational resources center activating in Cluj county, that sustains the professional and personal development of all teachers in primary and secondary education. It promotes training programs that sustain long life learning, in order to achieve quality in education. Casa Corpului Didactic Cluj is a real space of European integration for pre-university system of education in Cluj county.
Working Group
Casa Corpului Didactic Cluj provides training activities for pre-university teachers, such as: in-service training programs, methodical, scientific and cultural activities. The institution is subordinated to the Ministery of Education, Research, Youth and Sport in Romania and has 8 branches in Cluj county. Regarding the Pathway project, Casa Corpului Didactic Cluj collaborates with Technical University from Cluj-Napoca and with 3 schools that are training locations for the Pathway Project (Şcoala “Constatin Brâncuşi” from Cluj-Napoca, Şcoala “Avram Iancu” from Turda and Şcoala “Mihai Eminescu” from Dej).
Involvement in PATHWAY
The responsibilities of Casa Corpului Didactic Cluj within the Pathway Project are the following:
- Design, adaptation and development of teaching strategies, by training 200 Romanian teachers for the introduction of the inquiry based approach in school science education
- Implementation of inquiry based activities in the school curriculum, covering a wide range of subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology
- Networking and clustering with educational policy makers by presenting the results developed within the project to the local and national authorities
